About The Terrace Room Company

The Terrace Room Company is a stand-alone division of Indigo Awnings Ltd – the UK’s market leader with over 20 years of experience in the design and installation of high quality external shading products and weather protection solutions to the commercial sector. The Terrace Room Company benefits from this experience and the existing nationwide capability that has been established. All of our awnings, parasols and fixed roof structures are manufactured in Germany and recognised as the finest on the market. In fact we have a saying

“That will do won’t do, for us it has to be the best or nothing at all”. 

Every product from The Terrace Room Company has been specially designed to enhance the enjoyment and extend the use of your outdoor space no matter what the British climate has to offer. This enjoyment can be further extended into the evenings and cooler months with the addition of energy-efficient infra-red heating systems and LED lighting, all of which are available across all our ranges with remote control operation. 

Each of our products are bespoke and fully customisable to suit your own personal taste and colour preferences. The aluminium frames can be powder coated in any one of 56 standard RAL colours, and for our awning ranges, there is an enormous selection of fabric colours and patterns to choose from.  

Following an initial enquiry, our friendly and fully trained sales designers will contact you to arrange a meeting in order to establish your exact requirements and present frame and fabric samples for you to choose from all within the comfort of your own home. Our UK wide coverage also extends to our surveyors who will visit your home post order to take accurate manufacturing dimensions and confirm your chosen specifications. All of this is in preparation for the day when your new awning, glazed or retractable terrace roof or glass room is installed. Our installations team will keep you informed on the progress of your order at every step of the way.

From concept through to completion, The Terrace Room Company provide expert advice with unrivalled levels of customer and after-sales service. With a national capability and support network, all installations are completed by our highly experienced fitting teams, ensuring continuity with only one point of contact for our customers to have the best experience possible.

Step 1 – Initial Consultation

Simply fill out our enquiry form and one of our sales designers will contact you to discuss your requirements e.g. What type of shading solution are you looking for and how do you intend on using the space, this is particularly relevant as it will determine the product/s that we recommend. Our highly experienced representatives will happily answer any questions you may have and advise on the best possible solution for your home and lifestyle.

Step 2 – Design Your New Product

Once you have chosen your perfect shading solution, now you can begin to personalise it to your own bespoke specification. Here you can choose from a wide range of practical and stylish accessories to enhance your outdoor experience, select the frame and fabric colours or pattern to compliment your home – the decisions are all yours!

Step 3 – Quotation

We will then prepare a detailed quotation for you based on your chosen specification. Our sales designer will discuss our payment options and will answer any questions you may have at this stage. 

Step 4 – Survey Visit

Once your order has been placed we will arrange for one of our surveyors to visit your home at a convenient time to take manufacturing dimensions and confirm your chosen specifications. We will keep you informed of your order progress every step of the way and as soon as the product arrives into the UK, we will move to step 5  

Step 5 – Installation

We will call to arrange a convenient date for our fitting teams to install your new product. Awnings are usually completed within the same day whereas our terrace rooms take longer and this depends on the size of the structure. Our fitters work with great efficiency and tidiness at all times, respecting your home environment.
